Record-setting heat

From the National Weather Service-Record setting heat is expected in our area! Excessive heat warning are in place and your friends at SERVPRO of Eastern of Lake County want to keep you safe. 

During hot and humid weather, your body’s ability to cool itself can be challenged. This can result in a heat-related illness. Here are some symptoms of excessive heat exposure. 

Heat exhaustion 

  • Dizziness 
  • Thirst
  • Heavy Sweating 
  • Nausea
  • Weakness 

If you experience any of these symptoms, ACT FAST. Move to a cooler area, loosen clothing, sip cool water and seek medical help if symptoms don’t improve. 

Heat Stroke 

  • Confusion 
  • Dizziness
  • Becomes unconscious 

Immediately call 911! Move person to a cooler area, loosen clothing and cool with water or ice. 
Heat stroke can cause death or permanent damage if emergency treatment isn’t given.
